Sarah and I went to the Sunset Social at Four Arrows Garden on Friday evening. And honestly, I was not sure what to expect. I knew it was a garden center. I knew there would be plants and shopping and maybe a decent view. What I did not expect was to stand on that terrace and feel genuinely still for a minute.
The sky did what Arizona skies do best. The temperatures had dropped enough to actually feel comfortable outside. There was music. There were botanical refreshments. And everywhere you looked, there were people who had clearly made the right call about how to spend their Friday evening.
Events like this are a reminder of what is already right here. You do not have to go far.
Four Arrows Garden hosts Sunset Social one Friday evening each month throughout the summer. It runs from 6:30PM to 7:30PM, which is exactly the right window. The garden is open for shopping, the terrace has mountain views on one side and a full Arizona sunset on the other, and the whole thing wraps up before you have any reason to feel like you stayed too long.
It is the kind of event that works because it is not trying to be too much. It is a beautiful space, a beautiful time of day, and enough room to just breathe for an hour.
